Awards
- Grandview project receives international Award of Distinction, 2009. We are delighted to announce that one of our major recent projects, the Greater Downtown Action Plan for the City of Red Deer, has won a 2009 Award of Distinction from the International Downtown Association. The project was one of 77 submissions for the award. Grandview Consulting, in partnership with John Hull Architect, led this urban planning project, handling all communications and public input processes as well as coordinating project planning. The award was announced September 12 in Milwaukee at the IDA's Annual Conference.
- Excellence in Health Care Communication, 2002, Special Purpose Communication – First Place, Health Care Public Relations Association of Canada. For “Highlights in Health” newspaper insert on behalf of David Thompson Health Region.
- MAX Marketing Award 2000 (short list finalist) for Marketing Campaign, presented by Alberta Venture magazine, for our “Red Deer College is…Success” campaign (newspaper, radio, TV, billboard).
- Best Print Advertisement, 2000, National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR - an organization of U.S. and Canadian college marketing professionals) District 7 (north western States and western Provinces). Judges' comments: "strong on every count; very, very well done and conceived!; great theme follow-through".
- Best Newsletter, 2000, NCMPR. Judges' comments: "interesting content for a varied audience; well written; a nice alternative to the standard article(s); very clever."
- Best Urban Plan, 2000, Alberta Association of Canadian Institute of Planners. Received for Red Deer's Greater Downtown Action Plan.
- Award for Planning Excellence, 2001, Canadian Institute of Planners. Received for Red Deer's Greater Downtown Action Plan.
Grandview Managing Partner Lorne Daniel is also a previous winner of awards from the Writers Guild of Alberta and the International Association of Business Communicators, Edmonton chapter.
