This could very well be the clearest and most effective professional and spiritual mantra one could have. It seems all things that are designed can be poorly used and applied to deviate from their essential, intended purpose. Very thoughtful post. I often feel that the social media environment, in practice, is more "In the Way" - more Me than You.

Hi Lorne,
Congratulations on your inaugural Grandview Consulting blog. When it comes to small business, I've found lately that they seem to be "going through the motions" rather than standing out with customer service above the big box stores. The larger companies have procedure and training in place to provide a certain level of service (most anyway) but the smaller ones, since they do usually cost more, have to take that "above and beyond" step. I'm happy to see Ed Williams taking that move forward. Says a lot about his brand.
Also, welcome to the world of customer service blogging. I've been at it for about a year and it rewarding, disappointing, shocking and impressive.
