For eight years, Grandview Consulting Inc. has been helping organizations discover, develop, and communicate their strengths. Our services are applicable to many profit and not-for-profit organizations, but we have special expertise in helping colleges, professionals (such as optometrists, dentists, chiropractors, accountants, and lawyers), municipalities and developers. If your organization is like most, you find it a challenge to define a clear direction in turbulent times, then to get staff, stakeholders, clients / customers, and your service providers 'on board' with consistent, effective, messages.

Strength-based organization planning is the starting point. We have found that too many companies and public sector organizations get bogged down in old fashioned problem-based planning. You've seen it all before: SWOT analysis, gap analysis and other versions of 'list what's wrong so we'll know what to fix' approaches. The problem is (and we can show the formal research that proves this), problems begat problems. Problem-based planning actually ingrains the problems, PLUS it's a huge de-motivator. After an afternoon of problem-solving, people go home to their families in need of some serious cheering-up.

The amazing thing is that strength-based planning solves problems but does so indirectly, by tapping into our enthusiasm, our dreams, and our stories of past successes. We all have successes of various sorts in our past. What happened in those wonderful moments when we won the championship game, got the promotion, helped somebody overcome an obstacle?

New planning methods that have been proven to succeed - in major corporations, in third-world countries, in non-profit agencies - are available to your organization now.   3. Bring us in for a workshop, speaking engagement, or short-term consultation. With our years of experience in leading, facilitating, and designing such sessions we can help your organization 'kick start' a planning, communications, or marketing initiative that is important to you.
  4. Engage us as consultants. We pride ourselves in working in an integrated way with your existing people, other resource people you may have available, and key stakeholders. We don't believe in "owning" your process. We do believe in building your organization's capacity, skills, and resources so that you are left stronger through your consultation with us.
Interested in talking? We encourage you to ask the many enthusiastic clients we have already worked with - then get in touch with us. What often works best is a preliminary e-mail exchange about your situation. When we have the basics, it's then fruitful to talk on the phone, so we can learn more about your organization, its circumstances, and its dreams for future success. This phone conversation is usually 30-60 minutes.

This initial e-mail and phone consultation is free. We then decide whether there is a good fit between your needs and our services. About half the time, the fit ISN'T right, but we take pleasure in referring such enquiries to our many colleagues who may be better able to serve you.
